2003 Results

IRONWORKER FESTIVAL A HUGE SUCCESS

   The 2003 Ironworker Festival in Mackinaw City turned out great this year thanks to the hard work of many people but we’d like to especially thank Ken Dumas and his wife Deborah and Dale Dumas and his wife Linda. They’ve devoted a lot of time and effort these last few years trying to transform this event into an Ironworker family affair and it’s working! Many ironworkers and their wives were there enjoying the parade, skilled events, music in the beer tent and the food and craft booths. Several ironworker couples also brought their  kids who thoroughly enjoyed the games, crane rides and cotton candy and balloons. It turned out great!

     Another successful element to this event is all the ironworkers who come from all over the United States and Canada, thanks to the promotion of the International. It’s neat to listen to stories from so many different guys from so many different areas and then to actually watch many of them compete is even better. The grounds worked out well for the skilled events and the weather cooperated which helped facilitate some great times. We hope even more ironworkers will be there next year.
